Getting Started
Welcome! This guide will help you get started with DELEGATE.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”Before you begin, make sure you have:
- Access to a DELEGATE deployment
- Basic familiarity with the concepts and terminology
First steps
Section titled “First steps”Here are the basic steps to get started:
- Log in — Access your DELEGATE instance with your credentials. On a clean installation, use the default administrator account for your first login.
- Explore the dashboard — Familiarize yourself with the main interface and available modules.
- Navigate modules — Browse the different sections to discover features relevant to your workflow.
Default administrator account
Section titled “Default administrator account”A clean installation of DELEGATE seeds exactly one default administrator (“superadmin”) account so an operator can log in for the first time.
- Username — the value of the
INITIAL_SUPERUSER_EMAILenvironment variable, configured at install time. The documented default isadmin@localhost. - Initial password — supplied by the installer via the
INITIAL_SUPERUSER_PASSWORDkey of the<installationName>-realm-credentialsKubernetes Secret (the same Secret that already holds the Keycloak client credentials for your installation). This value is never published here or committed to any checked-in file — ask whoever provisioned your installation for it, or set it yourself if you are performing the install. - Forced change on first login — Keycloak requires this account to set a new password immediately on its first login (an
UPDATE_PASSWORDrequired action), before any application page becomes reachable. This step is mandatory and cannot be skipped.
Security note: rotate this account’s credentials immediately after first login in any production installation. Do not leave the installer-supplied default password in place longer than necessary to complete the first login.
